THE SCIENCE IS CLEAR
WHY EVERY SERIOUS ATHLETE NEEDS A BELT
A weightlifting belt isn't a crutch — it's a tool. Studies show belts increase intra-abdominal pressure by up to 40%, reducing spinal compression and unlocking more power in every lift. The athletes who think they don't need one are leaving PRs on the platform.

Best of its kind after 5+ years of daily training
I've used my 2POOD belt for over five years of daily training. The WODClamp is the reason I'll never go back to a standard velcro belt — it's never once popped on me mid-lift. The Cordura nylon is indestructible.

The petite belt finally fits me perfectly
I've tried four other belts. They all dug into my ribs or rode up during lifts. The 2POOD 3" Petite sits perfectly — I can actually squat with it on without adjusting between sets. Game changer for shorter athletes.

Wore it through an entire Open workout
Wall balls, box jumps, thrusters, and bar muscle-ups — I kept this belt on through the whole thing. I've never been able to do that with any other belt. The WODClamp means I can loosen it between heavy sets and tighten it back up in two seconds.

Hit a 20lb deadlift PR my first session
I was skeptical. I've trained beltless for four years thinking it would weaken my core. My coach finally convinced me to try one and I pulled 20lbs more than my previous best on the first session. I'm not going back.
GOT QUESTIONS?
FREQUENTLY ASKED
Use this text to share information about your product or shipping policies.
Will a weightlifting belt weaken my core?
No — this is the most common myth about belts. Research shows that wearing a belt actually increases abdominal activation. Your abs brace harder against the belt, which over time builds a stronger midsection. Elite powerlifters and Olympic lifters have extraordinary core strength — and they all use belts.
Do I need to break in a 2POOD belt?
No. Unlike leather belts that can take months of painful break-in before they're usable, 2POOD nylon belts are functional from the moment you put them on. The Cordura nylon and foam core give you structured support with immediate comfort.
Won't the velcro pop on a heavy lift?
That's exactly why we built the WODClamp. It's our proprietary self-locking steel buckle that sits on top of the velcro and adds a hard-lock layer of security. The velcro holds the fit — the WODClamp locks it in. No other nylon belt has this system.
How do I know which size to order?
2POOD sizing is based on waist measurement at your navel, not clothing size. Measure around your midsection where the belt will sit (usually 1–2 inches above your hip bones). Check our full sizing guide for exact measurements. When in doubt, size down — belts are meant to fit snugly.
Is 2POOD legal for competition?
Yes. 2POOD belts are approved for USAW, USPA, IWF, and IPF competition. We're the Official Belt of CrossFit® and USA Weightlifting — worn by athletes competing at the highest levels in the sport.
What's the difference between the 4", 3" Petite, and Metcon belt?
4" Standard — The all-around belt, right for most athletes. 3" Petite — Shorter torso-specific design that doesn't dig into ribs. Metcon Belt — 4" front, 6" back for taller athletes who need more posterior support on heavy deadlifts and squats. Not sure which is right for you?
